Digital Tools
& Open Actions
Every tool, page, and task across the CIS infrastructure in a single working document.
Nothing below should be prioritized over clearing these first. Each item is either blocking the pipeline, presenting a broken experience to proposers, or silently failing in production.
The live version at toolkit.duncanvillearts.org is behind. Two significant changes were made in the most recent session: a dedicated Substitution Case field in the AI intake evaluator with a rewritten system prompt that scores substitution as the primary factor, and a full Activation Report Generator tab (the fifth tool). Any proposer using the toolkit is using an older version that does not fulfill what the intake form promises.
Resolution: Drag the updated daf-toolkit.html into the Netlify deploy zone. The file is ready. Two minutes.
The program intake form redirects to duncanvillearts.org/intake-received after a successful Formspree submission. That page does not exist. Every proposer who submits an application hits a 404 at the most important moment in the pipeline.
Resolution: Build /intake-received as a Squarespace page. Needs a confirmation message, a summary of what happens next, and a link back to the main site.
The Audience Map is the Workshop 1 deliverable in the Producer Certificate curriculum. It is a fillable HTML tool built in the DAF visual identity that helps proposers define their addressable resident pool before entering Stage 2. The Producer Certificate page tells proposers Workshop 1 produces this. The AI intake evaluator references it in the checklist memo. The tool does not exist.
Resolution: Build the Audience Map as a fillable HTML tool at /audience-map. Inputs: discipline, geography, price point, competing venues, resident demographic profile. Output: a structured one-page document the proposer brings to Workshop 1.
Every DAF page footer and the press release links to duncanvillearts.org/#research. If the anchor does not exist, the link presents as live but silently drops visitors at the top of the homepage.
Resolution: Load duncanvillearts.org/#research in a browser. If no section exists, either build it or update every footer and press release link to remove the reference.
Five files are complete in the DAF design system and have not been deployed to Squarespace.
Resolution: Confirm target URLs for /kit and /press. Upload updated intake form to /intake. Confirm Working Paper is live at /#research or assign a standalone URL.
| File | Target URL | Status |
|---|---|---|
| daf-kit.html | /kit | In Production |
| daf-press-release.html | /press or /news | In Production |
| daf-intake-form.html | /intake (replaces current) | In Production |
| Working Paper | /#research or /research | Decision Required |
All Squarespace-hosted pages on the primary domain, publicly indexed and accessible.
| Page | Description | URL |
|---|---|---|
| Main Site Live | Foundation homepage with about section, news, contact form, and navigation to all primary CIS pages. | duncanvillearts.org |
| CIS v2.0 Live | Primary governing document. Defines the Cultural Investment Index, five-stage pipeline, scoring algorithm, and all governing principles that every other tool references. | /cisv2 |
| Program Architecture Live | Visual and narrative map of the full CIS framework. Covers the governing document, pipeline, tools, principles, and regional context. | /arch |
| Producer Certificate Live | Five-workshop Stage 2 curriculum. Workshop 1 produces the Audience Map (see Action Required). Required for all proposers entering the pipeline. | /certificate |
| Workshop Planner Live | Calculates the full program calendar from a single start date: all five workshop dates, the 30-day pre-commitment window, activation night, and the 14-day reconciliation deadline. | /planner |
| Arts Junction Live | Primary project page for the Arts Junction mixed-use campus at 202 West Center. Covers the venue's role as the CII's physical manifestation, tenant mix, and activation model. | /junction |
| BSW Cultural Baseline Live | Positions the CIS measurement methodology as available for regional adoption by DeSoto, Cedar Hill, and Lancaster without asserting governance or requiring institutional commitment. | /baseline |
| Program Intake Form Live | Nine-section application form for proposers entering the pipeline. Captures pre-submission AI evaluation data, program concept, substitution case, pricing, budget, and venue needs. Submissions via Formspree (mvzbydgy). Confirmation redirect to /intake-received is currently broken — see Section I. | /intake |
A standalone single-file application deployed to Netlify with a serverless Claude API proxy. Five tools in a tabbed interface. The live version is behind — see Section I, item 1.1.
| Tab | Function | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Pipeline Manager | Tracks all active programs across five pipeline stages with inline stage badges and alignment scores. | Live |
| AI Program Intake Evaluator | Stage 1 concept evaluation. Accepts description and substitution case. Returns alignment score, determination, substitution assessment, and pre-application checklist. Live version is missing the dedicated Substitution Case field and updated scoring logic. Requires re-deploy. | Deploy |
| Scorecard Calculator | Accepts five factor percentages, computes CII composite score, generates AI narrative for proposers and city officials. | Live |
| Pre-Commitment Velocity Tracker | Campaign dashboard projecting close-date trajectory and flagging programs at risk before the campaign window closes. | Live |
| Activation Report Generator | Accepts raw post-activation data. Derives all five CII factor scores from source inputs. Generates a print-ready scorecard with AI narrative. Built; not yet deployed. F4 (repeat) detects first activations automatically and scores zero with a structural explanation. F5 (adjacent lift) maps raw lift percentage to a 0–100 score. | Deploy |
These files are complete in the DAF design system. Each has a target URL. Deployment to Squarespace is the only remaining step.
| Document | Description | Target |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum Implementation Kit | Field-deployable five-component measurement system. Full specifications for ZIP capture, post-event survey, adjacent business baseline method, purchaser matching, and the CII scoring rubric with threshold table. | /kit |
| Updated Program Intake Form | Rebuilt in full DAF design system. Replaces the current /intake page. Includes Section 0 that captures AI pre-evaluation data with every Formspree submission. | /intake |
| Press Release — Measuring What Matters | Announcement of the CIS v2.0 working paper. Frames the substitution methodology and pre-commitment validation model. Effective date May 1, 2026. | /press or /news |
| Best Southwest Assembly — Campaign Strategy | Internal document covering the methodology-first propagation sequence for regional CII adoption. Hold until Year One CII data is published. | Internal only |
| Best Southwest Assembly — Founding Charter | Twelve-article founding charter for the Best Southwest Assembly for Arts, Culture, and Community. Hold until regional adoption is earned through published evidence. | Internal only |
Priority order reflects dependency on other components. The Foundation Box Office is the highest-priority item because the data collection layer does not standardize without it. See Section VI for the platform decision that unlocks this build.
| Tool | Description | Dependency |
|---|---|---|
| Foundation Box Office Planned | Foundation-managed ticketing service handling ticket sales, ZIP capture, purchaser recordkeeping, and refund processing for all CIS activations. When a program does not reach the 100% pre-commitment gate, the Foundation executes the no-go determination and returns funds directly, removing that obligation from the proposer. Standardizes the data collection layer so every activation produces records in the same format. | Platform decision (Section VI) |
| Baseline Data Entry Template Planned | Standardized Google Sheet for recording tenant transaction data across activation and baseline nights, calculating the four-night average, and producing the F5 lift figure for CII scoring. | None |
| Purchaser Matching Workbook Planned | Pre-built spreadsheet with automated COUNTIF logic for repeat participant identification. Produces the F4 score directly from imported purchaser CSVs. Requires a confirmed CSV format from the Box Office to build against. | Box Office CSV format |
| Survey QR Kit Planned | Print-ready 4×6 card templates and standing sign artwork with the standard substitution prompt, response categories, and QR code field. Standardizes F3 data collection across all activations. | None |
| Annual Program Report Template Planned | Structured document template for compiling individual CII activation scorecards into the aggregated annual public report. Includes cross-activation pattern analysis, cohort graduation candidates, and regional recapture summary for municipal and TCA audiences. | Year One data |
| Regional CII Pattern Analysis Planned | AI-assisted analytical layer identifying behavioral patterns across Best Southwest cities once DeSoto, Cedar Hill, or Lancaster begin generating CII data. Surfaces substitution corridors, discipline-specific demand signals, and pricing thresholds that hold across the region. | Regional CII adoption |
| Incubated Initiative Charters Planned | Founding charter template and individual charters for each incubated initiative entering the CIS pipeline. The Best Southwest Film Society charter is the first instance, currently in review. | Per-initiative |
These items cannot be built or resolved without a call. Each is blocking something downstream.
Three paths are available: Airtable with Stripe integration, a purpose-built portal, or a third-party arts ticketing platform adapted for the pre-commitment model. Each path determines the CSV format the Purchaser Matching Workbook is built around and how the Activation Report Generator eventually auto-imports data.
Downstream blocks: Box Office build, Purchaser Matching Workbook, Activation Report auto-import layer, long-term program data architecture.
The Measuring What Matters working paper is scoped for distribution to SMU DataArts, TCA, and the Texas Legislature. A publication decision is needed: standalone page at /research, academic preprint channel, or direct distribution without a public URL.
Downstream blocks: /#research anchor in every page footer and the press release. Until this is resolved, those links are either dead or silent failures.
